This weekend.
This one might be long…
I got to go to the beach!!! yay!! with Cameron. to only my most favorite place in the whole wide world, the Law’s beach house, aka The Sea Bitty or Biddy? : ) There is just something about that place that makes me feel good inside. No stress or problems exist for me when I’m there, and that’s the best feeling ever.
And it brought back so many memories from way back when. Like Brooke turning into a peppermint stick haha, and DJ getting a rash from the seawater, and Grandma fussing over not wanting her picture taken, and all of us kids walking down to the pier at night and feeling so independent lol, and going to the little restaraunt on the pier for breakfast and ordering a sausage and egg on toast. I miss those days so much, and it makes me sad that I’ll never get to walk on that pier again. (Stupid condos that didn’t even go up, geez.) I want my childhood back, I’m tired of growing up. It really sucks sometimes.
Anyway, the weather was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky; not too hot or too cold. We layed out the whole time, it was great. The water was fuh-reeeezzing. Cameron finally convinced me to get in though. And after 10 minutes of inching out to our waists haha, I didn’t want to get out. But, Cameron was numb bahaha, so we went back to bake a little more. and I didn’t think I had gotten burnt until we got home and it started to sink in. Now my legs are pretty lobsterish.
And to add to the greatness of it all, I drove there and back and didn’t get lost at all!! Go me! and y’all know what an accomplishment that is for me haha. I was so proud of us. The only driving-related scare that we had was when I completely didn’t see the curb at Food Lion and drove all the way over it. It was really scary. I sware it was invisible. The man passing us on his way out was shaking his head at me lol. oh, and I did kind of pull out in front of someone who I thought was in the turning lane :/ That one scared the crap out of me, I let out a for-real scream.
But all in all it was an amazing weekend!! Me and Cameron had a ball together : ) and I’m so grateful that I got to go, especially since we’re not going as a family this year :( . Hopefully I’ll be able to go back soon.
